Quick Update
over 7 years ago – Thu, Nov 03, 2016 at 07:04:35 AM

Hi Guys and Gals,

Not much to report this week. All the dollies are being resin cast (or re-cast in the case of two of them which broke), so I'm awaiting the last of those castings to take some group shots.

Kev is also waiting for his copies to get on with the sculpting.

We're also waiting for Kickstarter to transfer the money, now that the 7 day 'sort it out' period is over.

There's a lot of 'waiting' in the first 2 weeks post-campaign :)

We'll pick back up with weekly or even bi-weekly updates next week depending on how many WIPs I have to show. We're also working on the initial KS survey.

Anyone have any queries? Wanna chat about the weather wherever you are?
I'm open for questions/discussion :)

Baker's Dozen Unlocked! 13 for the price of 12 - Kickstarter Exclusive!
over 7 years ago – Sat, Oct 22, 2016 at 07:55:05 AM

Matt... in a hat.
Matt... in a hat.

Well, we've unlocked our final stretch goal! Thanks everyone :) We're not celebrating properly until after the KS is over as we believe in 'jinx's :)

Some quick maths for the over 400 of you on 'Half Dozen' pledges though.

The newly unlocked goal means you can pick an extra 7 minis for only £23 by upgrading to the Dixon's Dozen pledge before the end! That's only £3.28 each! ($4.25 / €3.78).

(The above calculations are for the metal pledgers, for the Resin Master pledgers it means you can get an extra 7 minis for only £8.50 each ($11 / €9.80), that's the cheapest they have 'ever' been!)

I know a lot of pledges 'pledge and drive' so maybe aren't keeping up with the updates, hopefully you guys will read this last one though and won't kick yourself afterwards ;)

See you in just under 3 hrs for a celebratory drink! :D

Quick Post Funding Update!
over 7 years ago – Sat, Oct 22, 2016 at 07:53:44 AM

Hey Everyone.

Just letting you know where we all are. Currently I am having, for want of a better phrase, a bathroom emergency (water damage, replacement floorboards etc)so I'm not as chatty, but this will affect regular HF business more than the KS as my job at the moment is mostly to tell you things :)

Kev is working on the final 2 dollies (Ksenia and Helen) and I will update you with any WIPs that comes from him, or from Tre & Fancagne our guest sculptors.

Other than that we are in the payment stage at the moment. For the first 7 days post-campaign, Kickstarter is running the show. They've taken payment from most of you and are messaging those whose payments failed for some reason or another.

'We' can't do anything about this sorry, Kickstarter uses it's own payment provider and handles it all themselves. If you are having a problem fixing your payment though please let us know and we'll offer any advice we can.

If anyone let's it fail through the 7 day mark I 'think' that Kickstarter just count you as a failed backer and removes you from the campaign, we can't add people back in to the official campaign even if they pay later. So no emails, updates etc.

So it's important that if you've received the failed payment emails that you get on with fixing it asap, even if it involves a pain tin the behind phone call to your banks fraud protection line (which is a surprisingly common reason for the failed payments it seems, simple overseas transaction worry).

Thanks again everyone and see you next update!

Feedback #17 - Helen Dolly
over 7 years ago – Sat, Oct 22, 2016 at 07:53:23 AM

This is the dolly that will go off for resin casting, and then Kev will use it to make the 4 variants.

She's a little different to the others, less soft, more muscle fitness model. She's also a little taller.

Whadya think?

Feedback #18 - Ksenia Dolly
over 7 years ago – Wed, Oct 19, 2016 at 04:08:29 AM

Not your regular dolly :)
Not your regular dolly :)

So this is the 'dolly' that will end up as Ksenia.

Before anyone says anything, yes we are aware that bone size isn't in proportion, but we'd quite like it not to snap into pieces upon the slightest touch :D

If you look closely, there are some anatomical differences that make the skeleton a female one. When gets the master back it'll be skinned in the dessicated skin for the Skyclad variant and then a casting of that will probably be used for the 'Pin-Up' wight.

There won't be many WIP's for the next week, Kev has now done all of the dollies so we're having them all master cast in resin and then when Kev gets them back he'll start on the next phase, which is in about a week.

'However', in the meantime I will also get copies so I can take some comparison shots and some proper shots of them in one-colour resin as opposed to the putty and clay shots that can make some optical illusions go on. I'll be updating with those in the week for you guys and gals :)

So, whadya think of 'Very Skyclad Ksenia'? ;)
